As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and implementing our infrastructure, ensuring that our platforms are scalable, resilient, and efficient. You will use your expertise in Kubernetes and automation to design and improve our self-hosted environments, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional SaaS services.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be part of our Infrastructure, Technology, and Design (ITD) team and ensure that our platforms run stably, perform well, and are future-proof. You’ll continuously develop our infrastructure and automate wherever possible:
- Design, deployment, and operation of our Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and Kubernetes as a Service on OTC)
- Operating and further developing core platform components such as KeyDB, MongoDB, Kafka, OpenSearch, monitoring, and logging stacks
- Developing and maintaining automation using Ansible, Helm Charts, Flux, and custom scripts
- Ensuring the platform’s scalability, stability, performance, and cost optimization
- Contributing to architectural decisions and the integration of new technologies (e.g., in the AI domain)
- Close collaboration with development, security, and operations teams
- Regular modernization and replacement of existing platform stacks.

- Solid expertise in setting up and operating Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with automation (Ansible, Helm, Flux, scripting)
- Experience with distributed systems and platform services (KeyDB, MongoDB, Kafka, OpenSearch)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging systems
- Experience in software development
- Understanding of IT security and building secure, robust platforms
- (Nice to have) Certifications such as CKA, CKS, or cloud certifications
- Team spirit and strong communication skills (German and English)
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Willingness to take responsibility for platforms
- Class B driver's license (for occasional assignments at the data center).
